Wúrà

wúrà Yoruba  /wúrà/  — gold

A curated women's social club in Abeokuta. A community built for women who create, connect, and celebrate — meeting every two weeks inside the IYKYK room at Quench.

The Problem

No space in this city
was built for you.

Women in Abeokuta are catered for in restaurants, in churches, in social gatherings. What does not exist is a recurring, intentionally designed experience where women can meet like-minded people, discover brands built by other women, celebrate their interests, and feel genuinely seen.

Ladies nights are not that. They are a discount mechanic — free drinks to fill a room designed for someone else, on a schedule designed for someone else, with an atmosphere designed for someone else.

Wúrà is the space that should have existed already.

Not an event. A community that happens to gather inside a venue. The nightclub is the infrastructure. The women inside it are the point.

The Experience

What it
looks like.

Every edition runs from 4pm to 10pm on Saturday — a time window that belongs to nobody else in this city. The IYKYK room transforms completely for each edition. Different aesthetic. Different partner. Different anchor moment. The same community underneath it all.

4:00pm Doors open. Brand partner live. Welcome drink. The room at its most intimate — early arrivals get the best experience.
5:30pm Crowd builds. DJ steps up. The room shifts from discovery to social.
6:30pm The anchor moment — one edition-specific experience designed to be remembered and shared.
7:30pm Full social mode. The community in full flow.
10:00pm Close — or continue into the Quench main floor for those who want to extend the night.

Women return because it is never the same night twice. Each edition has its own theme, its own featured brand, its own moment. The umbrella stays consistent. Everything inside it rotates.

Brand Partners

For women who
build things.

Every edition features one women-owned business as its brand partner. Not a vendor table in the corner. A curated placement at the centre of the experience — the evening's theme built around your product category, your brand as the featured story of the night.

The difference between renting a booth and building a community is who you are when the event ends.

Founding Membership

We are not building
this alone.

We are inviting a small, specific group of women to help shape what Wúrà becomes. Not as sponsors. Not as attendees. As founding members who have a genuine voice in the community's identity from before the first edition launches.

Founding members shape the culture, the experiences, the standards, and the direction of Wúrà as it grows. This is an opportunity that exists once — before the community is already built.

Founding Community Member

A Seat at
the Table

Priority access to every edition, input on community direction, founding recognition, birthday privileges, and access to the private member group before public launch.
